COURSE PROJECTS

Create Database in Oracle 11g: Created Database in Oracle 11g with DDL and inserted data in each of tables with DML. In this project, I set different constraints in tables to ensure the integrity of data and connection of tables.

Create Database in SQL Server with DDL (Data Definition Language): With SSMS, created Review Database in SQL Server with DDL. In addition, inserted data into every table according to specific instruction. In this project, needed to think about some certain requirement, which means the data inserted has to meet some requirement.

Analyze data with SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS in SQL Server: Integrate data from Flat and Excel file into Database of SQL server. As well, export data to Excel from SQL Server. In addition, take advantage of SSAS and SSRS to analyze data and generate report.

Installation and Maintenance of Application in Ubuntu: Install Ubuntu in VM Ware. Add users and test the system. Using a Remote Terminal tool, install LAMP and DB with Linux command. Also, install WordPress with Apache and DB, then, add Security, Nagios.

Prediction of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) function by co-expression analysis with R: Take advantage of Data Mining knowledge, co-expression analysis, to predict the putative regulation of IncRNA on protein coding RNAs with R. My role is to install DESeq2 package to complete the differential expression analysis (ED) for both IncRNAs and coding RNAs. Then significant DE lncRNAs pair with significant DE coding RNAs for correlation test by R cor.test .

Relationship of Hadoop and Traditional Data Warehouse (DW): Based on architecture and function of Hadoop and traditional DW, establish combination of Hadoop and traditional DW. I analyze the DW and perform the combination. DW is weaker then Hadoop in Data Sources layers, but Hadoop is weaker then DW in Data Analysis layer. By combination, the new app can implement perfect functions in both Data Source layer and Data Analysis layer.

Create Database in SQL Server with Entity Framework Code First: With Visual Studio 2012, in order to develop my project in Enterprise Architecture class, defined my specific model by using C#, established database in SQL Server with Entity Framework Code First technology.

Implementation Conference Review Database with Hibernate: Use Hibernate to map Java Objects to database tables. Take MVC framework to control the whole data delivery from Back-End to Front-End. My responsibility is to design Front-End with HTML5, JQuery, and CSS, built Servlet to connect Front-End to Middle-Side, and create Java Objects to correspond the tables in DataBase with Hibernate Framework.

Smart Classroom Tool: In Myeclipse, take advantage of Hibernate and MVC framework to develop software to perform student’s registration, login, and project selection. For the teacher and administrator, they can manage projects and students’ account. My responsibility is to develop Front-End with HTML5, CSS, JQuery, and Jscript. Create Service layer with Servlet to perform the pages jump and extract information from Back-End. In addition, create DAO and DAOImpl layer to implement the insert and delete operation in database.

Searching Movie’s Information: With eclipse, establish spring MVC environment to achieve the search of movie information. I complete this project myself. In this project, client can register and login the searching page. Users can find Movies by players’ name, also can find players by movies. In addition, the users can check movie’s comments and rating.

INTERN

Position: Database Developer

Develop database with SQL Server, maintain and manage the database: Create and Alter Database with DDL (Data Definition Language) and maintain by DML (Data Manipulation Language).

Create and use different queries: Use MS Transact-SQL to query information. Create View and Inline function to simplify the complex queries; Create trigger function to invoke cascading functions; Create subqueries and CTE (Common table expressions) to implement the complex queries. Catch the operation error with TRY CATACH and find right way to handle it.

Data migration and integration with SSIS.

Report the result with SSRS.
