Human Resources Manager February 2015 – December 2016

Planned, developed, and directed the implementation of Human Resources policies, plans, and programs for staffing, compensation, benefits (open enrollment), employee relations, labor relations, equal employment/affirmative action, diversity, training, and health and safety.

Established first Human Resources Department for the Town which included developing and implementing policies, processes and practices such as recruitment and hiring, compensation, training, timekeeping and the Personnel Handbook

Implemented a time keeping system that integrated with the current payroll system to increase accuracy and efficiency by reducing manual errors, reducing payroll processing time, and increasing manager/supervisor accountability

Implemented a learning management system which addressed training deficiencies in topics such as sexual harassment, harassment and diversity as well as provided onsite active shooter training in a classroom setting

Conducted/managed investigations into complaints from residents and/or employees and recommended resolutions to issues as well and reviewed investigations conducted by others

Developed a five-year strategic plan to address growth and the necessary staffing, training, programs, etc. to sustain the growth

Travelled to facilities (police department/public works/library) under town jurisdiction on a weekly/monthly basis to perform HR functions
