Successfully supported a team of up to 5 engineers and facilitated them becoming recognized as technical specialists within their individual disciplines. I was able to effectively grow this to a team regularly supporting launching of new program as well as material and equipment processing issues at manufacturing sites within the United States and Mexico. The group was responsible for the following materials – plastic resins, plastic rolled goods (real and fake leather, TPO, etc,), slush cast materials, paint, polyurethane foam, and adhesives.
Maintained group yearly budget of $75.000 as well as group travel budget of $80.000
Lead the development of the implementation a new material technology to Inteva Products which over the life of the program will lead to an estimated $6 million cost savings
Selected to be Material Tech Team group leader and established a cross functional, multi facility technical development team of engineers tasked to understand new and upcoming technologies and grow relationships with potential new suppliers in the polyurethane and adhesive arenas and determine potential applications for Inteva.
Support Core Product Engineering with material costs and recommendations for new business pursuit.

Responsible for polyurethane and adhesive materials used throughout the Inteva Interiors business by supporting all Product Development Teams that have polyurethane foam and/or adhesive materials in their products for various OEMs, including GM, Mercedes, and Tesla. Support activities include, but not limited to material selection, supporting tool run offs, tool trials, pre-production, and production start-up activities.
Successfully worked with material supplier and Inteva team members to develop and implement a brand new polyurethane formulation into production for a European OEM
Support plants with continuous improvement, scrap reduction, and cost reduction projects.
Develop and implement material testing procedures and work instructions as well as create and update incoming material specifications for raw materials.
Consistently recognized for providing a high level of support and accountability for multiple Product Development Teams.
Actively supported our Advance Development Group’s adhesive project that has an estimated potential material savings of approximately 80%.

Managed all Quality Engineering department activities for a Tier 1 Automotive Company with annual sales of $15 million.
