PERSONAL STATEMENT
My 2 years of experience in the automation industry gave me an invaluable experience in overcoming challenges, such as short deadlines, heavy multi-tasking and a high paced environment. In this role I was able to apply my academic knowledge to real world problems with tangible results and fulfill multiple roles at a growing company. In the next chapter of my career I am looking to expand my skillset and gain experience in designing complex machinery and to approach challenges with an innovator's mindset.
EDUCATION
BUDAPEST UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND ECONOMICS Budapest, Hungary
Master of Mechanical Engineering (with Honors) Sep 2013 – Jan 2016
Concentrations in Design of Engineering Structures, Applied Mechanical Design, Drive Systems, and Applied Product Innovation
BUDAPEST UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND ECONOMICS Budapest, Hungary Bachelor of Vehicle and Transportation Engineering Sep 2009 – Jun 2013
EXPERIENCE
Unitech Industries Kft. Soltvadkert, Hungary
Mechanical Design Engineer Jan 2015 – May 2017
Designed custom machinery for multiple clients in the assembly, automation and manufacturing industries, and developed Unitech proprietary industrial machinery and equipment (i.e. robot cell, guard ware system, confectionery machine, linear robots, etc.).
Took part in construction planning, 3D design, preparing layouts and technical drawings, and also helped in assembling machinery.
Assessed requirements and devised appropriate technology direction for an innovative welding torch cleaning station design; introduced an electric motor based solution that incorporated multiple efficiency improvements, replacing pneumatic motors and cylinders; achieved approximately $40,000.00 / station / year savings in operating costs.
Adapted a plastic bag making machine design to restrictive customer requirements; improved manufacturing cost by replacing milled components with sheet metal parts and standardized components, and introduced new structural reinforcements to support increased dimensions.
BME Formula Racing Team Budapest, Hungary
Mechanical Engineer Apr 2012 – Dec 2014
Shortly after joining the FRT team's Combustion Engine Group I was promoted to be the team lead of 7 engineers.
Ran combustion engine simulations using GT Power, used results to optimize torque curve and performance, achieved 15% improvement in torque.
Supervised the redesign of the engine's lubrication system, redesigned from a wet sump into a dry sump system, achieved a lower center of gravity by 8%.
