GATES is a web application system which was designed to replace the existing legacy FACTS application (which is a mainframe application). GATES is an entire suite of e-commerce capabilities including Customer Profile, Tariff, Quotes, Web-based bookings, online Billing features, Electronic payments and shipment tracking of the +container goods that are imported and exported from China to US.

Direct Client dealing and worked closely with Business Analysts and SME’s to better understand system functionality in order to improve testing quality control services.

Conducted Regression testing and executed the QTP scripts for every Build before deployment into Production. Provided detailed reports on Regression metrics and Defect count to the client.

Role: Regression Lead

Plane.biz and UnumBenefits.com were the web based enrollment platforms of Unum, an Insurance Organization which provided integrated enrollment technology across all products with electronic submission and paper application submission for processing claims for employee’s disability, life, accident and critical illness insurance. The online administrative system gathered all the information and once all the information from Census (contains employee data) was being added to IRP, the system then generated a quote and the enrollment gets completed. Once the case is fully setup, we were able to build the policy for the employee’s and the employer can access his group contracts, review the bill, quickly change coverage and add new employees over the secured web services. This project was implemented using Iterative methodology. These web applications were developed in SQL Server 2008 and .NET. They were also used by Third Party Vendors when selling Unum products.

Served as a Regression lead providing client with detailed reports on Regression metrics.

Gathered specifications and requirements to develop Test Plans, Test Strategy and to create Test Cases using Quality Center.

Involved in building a rating engine for Progressive. This system is responsible for giving users/agents a quote for various insurance policy types. The system gathers information from user, process the information as per business rules and save to the database. The system also forms a request XML and sends to the mainframe which again processes the information as per business rules and sends a response XML.Then system filters out premium for the policy and other information and displays on the UI. User based access level is implemented for underwriters and agents. This project is implemented using Agile methodology.

Used Quality Center to prepare Test cases, procedures, Requirements Traceability Matrix and manage defects as per the Business requirements.

Designed and developed automation test scripts using Quick test Professional and managed testing activities using HP Quality Center.
