• Responsible for IT infrastructure and application development projects. Projects size ranging from 50K to +1M. Following are few major projects:

o Project Managed a team of 5 to develop Medical, Hospital and Dental claim financial data loads from Mainframe claim source data to Client Server PeopleSoft application. This project ultimately provided the company the ability to reconcile their Finance claims data with their Actuary claims data with more detail, data integrity and the leverage to recoup millions of dollars from their provider community. o Reduce a large backlog of Medical Claim Mass Adjustment requests. With a budget of 700k, 243 requests were satisfied completing 341 mass adjustment requests, resulting in adjusting 625,000 claims, paying the doctors 12 million dollars and 462 thousand dollars in interest and avoiding penalties and involving the DOI. Utilized Agile methodology, holding weekly progress meetings and on-going strategies. o Managed a team of 3 with a 75k budget to develop an Automated Medical Claims Mass Adjustment process to be compliant with the DOI (Department of Insurance) and to avoid paying millions of monetary penalties.

o Involved with a 1.1-Million-dollar project to standardize EOB’s across company businesses. Managed a team of 4 for a phase of the project to develop a process to send standard EOB formatted Medical and Hospital claims data to a print vendor in place of sending EOB images. Project required Vendor management

o Develop a Customer and Product master system for Finance with a team of 6 and a 350k budget. The project requirements were progressive elaborated and went through several scope changes as the business requirements became more and more defined as the project advanced. An Agile process was then followed with regular meetings and delivering prototype data to produce an approved end-product that would satisfy their needs.

o Managed a team of 5 to incorporate compliance logic for Mandatory Payment Reductions

(Sequestration), which applies a 2% medical claim payment reduction based on “Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services” regulatory requirements per Budget Control Act of 2011. This was a Rolling Wave, multi-phase initiative and I was responsible for Phase 1 of 3 phases for the Medical and Hospital Claim systems with a 76k budget for 5 resources over a 4-month period. o Assisted in managing a piece of a project with a team of 3 application programmers to assist in the company-wide 2.5-million-dollar multi-year project to plan, incorporate and implement the Endevor change management software into the EmblemHealth GHI/PPO environment to adhere to regulatory mandates per Office of Personnel Management. There were approx. 3,400 jobs in scope out of the 8,200 jobs assessed. We, the application project team, diligently worked close with the systems and change management teams.

o Managed an application knowledge transition project to support the client’s outsourcing of their Information Technology Services to Cognizant, an offshore based organization. The project was a Rolling Wave approach as the outsourcing team determined their outsourcing requirements as they became more familiar with the client’s environment. I collected requirements for planning the scope and resources for onshore and offshore knowledge transfer. The logistics favored recorded video conferencing to minimize time, cost and deliverable risks. o Unify the Code-1 software license with a 50k budget. The task was to utilize one Code-1 software license and share common software data sources to support two systems residing in two environments. o Coordinated Disaster Recovery support with Systems for IT Application support teams
