Professional Summary

With assorted opportunities to hire candidates for a variety of positions, I was always told to be careful of the "superstars" because what they might be are "super blow harts". I really hope this information doesn't come across with this flavor. Rather to confirm that throughout my career I have been very fortunate to be exposed to a great number of opportunities and successfully functioned in each to prepare myself for advancement. Then, being able to grow into the next opportunity as a benefit to the company and to myself.

While in the Marine Corp, a First Sergeant told me, "don't try to memorize all the information contained within the Marine Corp Administrative/Personnel Manual" but rather, "where to find all my answers". I believe this has been my guiding philosophy throughout work experience. Thank you for your consideration.

Work History

Asst Traffic Mgr & Outside Sales, General Mgr, 01/1968 to 10/1979 Leritz Storage & Moving Company - Kansas City, Mo

Began as the Asst Traffic Mgr after being released from the Marine Corp. My responsibilities was registering shipments through the national carrier, preparing the bill of ladings, rating, preparation for revenue distribution, preparation for billings, scheduling personnel for o al and long distance work and driver settlement. Time verification for personnel and for billing. Promoted to General Manager of both companies, while staying involved with inside and outside sales, office moving and the local delivery for Montgomery Wards and other administrative responsibilities. Always involved with keeping our part time labor current along with training for safety and work technique. Managed administrative functions from office, warehouse and shop. Actively involved with customer service and claims. Retained supervision of prorating and licensing for intrastate & interstate equipment.

My original goal was to acquire the company with the owner. Territorial Sales & Regional Manager, 09/1989 to 01/2016 Simco Static Control Products - Hatfield, Pa

Though I was employed consistently throughout my career, these are the two areas I believe will be of the most direct interest to a prospective employer. I began servicing six states in the mid west and within twelve months was responsible for another two states. My duties involved sales production and direct cost control for my area. Was recognized over 17 times as greatest percentage increase or number one producer or met and exceeded sales goals. We created out own sales opportunities, suggested the correct product and handled customer problems or complaints when and if there were any. After seven years in territory sales, I was promoted to Regional Manager, responsible for the western portion of the United States and the Maquiladoras area of northern Mexico. After five years as the Regional Manager, I was allowed to start my own rep’ing firm under the Simco’s umbrella. In January 2016, I retired and would like to continue using my experiences in part time work. Education
