Work Experience in Computer Science
Teaching Assistant at University at Buffalo Fall 2016-Present My duties as a teaching assistant have entailed teaching students to code in C, use Android Studio, work on firmware on routers running XINU operating systems, learn to use Raspberry Pi and Arduino systems, and even teaching non-computer science majors to use HTML, CSS, and Microsoft Excel.
Firmware Engineering Internship at Crestron Summer 2016 I worked on the firmware of multiple video and audio streaming devices. This entailed helping improve the efficiency and programmer readability of part of the code base, testing different types of video streams (using TCP and UDP) on multiple products using automated testing that I created, and writing my own customized firmware on touch panels in order to test out the functionality of different widgets and custom video streams.
In addition to working on the code of the devices, I also assisted in recreating customer found bugs and issues on touch panels so that the problems could be debugged and fixed.
