Projects

Design and development of a control system for balancing an inverted pendulum Jan 2017

Developed a two-wheeled platform capable of balancing an inverted pendulum. The system was designed using Simulink to control the linear position of the platform and

The controller was designed for a discrete time system and pole placement method was used.

The developed Simulink algorithm was implemented in Arduino using the Simulink Support Package.

MATLAB code for motion of a multibody system in 3D space Oct 2016

Developed a MATLAB code for determining the dynamics of multibody systems moving in 3d space.

The developed multibody code is capable of handling constraints. Zero eigenvalue method was used to simplify the equations of motion. The kinematics of the links were obtained using the simplified equations of motion.

The code performs inverse dynamic analysis on the multibody system to determine the internal forces.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) – Independent Study Sept 2016

Gained knowledge about various Advanced Driver Assistance Systems such as, Adaptive cruise control, Automatic Parking, Evasive Maneuver Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Collision Avoidance System and more.

Gained in depth knowledge about various sensors used in ADAS such as, LiDAR, RADAR, camera sensors, ultrasonic sensors, infrared sensors, etc.

Learnt about vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to infrastructure communication protocols, LIN, CAN, CANoe, Vehicle software development process and software life cycle management.

Implementation of Bug algorithm for mobile robots Apr 2016

The Bug0, Bug1, and Bug2 algorithms were implemented in the mobile robot in a predefined path.

As the robot moves along the obstacle, it computes its configuration and decides if it should still follow the edges of the obstacle or it’s time to depart from the obstacle towards the goal.

The Bug algorithms help the robot to make this computation and make the decision.
