Description: Infomail (IM) is an add-on service to the core Royal Mail Letters product. It provides the ability to track certain items of mail through the operational infrastructure and provide reports to both clients and internal RMG users. Items to be tracked by IM have additional information printed on them, by the customer, in the form of a Mail Data Mart (MDM). IM operates at the consignment level. The customer generates a set of mail items for delivery. The contents of the mailing are documented in a Manifest, also produced by the customer. The manifest contains one or more consignments, each of which contains items of one (and only one) core product (e.g. 1st Class mail).
