Solar PV for SME

• Project managed the Solar PV project which was designed to provide Electric Ireland with an automated billing system required in order to enable Electric Ireland to bill and invoice Solar PV customers in Ireland which would enable Electric Ireland to enhance its reputation of EI as a “green” energy provider

• A pilot project intended to determine the cost, risk and issues associated in the full rollout of IP modems as a replacement to existing GSM modems using a number of meters transmitting over GPRS, 3G and possibly 4G, communicating with MV90 over a secure VPN on a cell network from a provider such as Vodafone

• The pilot is intended to iron out any issues around end-to-end connectivity, operating the MV90 with IP traffic, accepting data over a secure mobile VPN, in addition to providing an initial look at the modems’ reliability and ease of use and installation Mar 2015 – Jun

• Involved in the design and delivery of the automation of the boil water notice process which is responsible for the identification and notification of vulnerable customers affected by supply interruptions and boil water notices

• Designed and implemented a number of solution/strategies to minimize the number of incorrect/invalid bills going out to customers. This has reduced the level of FTEs required to complete this work manually and has delivered a reduction in time taken to identify and contact these customers
