Assisted in material selection process with vision to reduce cost and maintain safety standards. Applied extensive knowledge of FEA to test and validate product design using ANSYS.

Optimization of design models for numerous parameters to increase reliability and minimize cost.

Facilitate the development of technical documentation for accepted design including BOM’s and ECN’s.

Excelled as team lead in quality improvement of Dragon train ride resulting in increased reliability by 20%.

Effectively assisted project management team to define project scope, schedule, budget, resource leveling and setting baselines for multiple projects using Oracle Primavera.

TETRA PAK SOLUTIONS, Bengaluru, India Oct 2013-Dec 2013

Mechanical Intern

Requirements elicitation and utilized CAD to implement conceptualized design and assisted in fabrication of it.

Developed new assembly process to reduce assembly production time by 25%.

Acquired in-depth knowledge of heat exchangers, centrifugal separators, spray dying, packaging and automation.

PROJECTS

Optimization of BMW x5 xdrive-35i suspension system –

Statistical and CAD modelling of suspension system by defining nine constraint functions including spring index, strength and buckling constraints. Multi-Objective GA was used in MATLAB Optimization toolbox to minimize weight and maximize natural frequency to prevent resonance and increase ride comfort. FEA in Creo was used for verification of the spring design.

Design and Analysis of Radial Engine –

3-D part modelling, assembly and motion study was done using SOLIDWORKS. Ansys was used to perform (FEA) Static-structural analysis and Linear-buckling analysis.

Reliability Analysis of a Diving board –

3-D CAD, FEA and MATLAB were used to minimize thickness of the diving board. Reliability of the design was calculated using Monte Carlo simulation and HLRF algorithm. The reliability observed was in the range of 95.49% - 99.99% but with high non-linearity index due to non-linear parameters.

Material Selection by 3-point bending and Strain measurements using strain gauges –

The test has been used to determine maximum load specimen can endure and to help industry pick up suitable material which will support without flexing. Blue-hill software, Strain gauge and Wheatstone bridge were used for measuring strain.

Design and FEA Analysis of Overhead Industrial crane –

Introduced a third runway to reduce bending moment in horizontal column and increase its load carrying capacity. The horizontal column was split in two halves which led to reduction of stress and deformation. The addition of runway perpendicular to the horizontal beam gave additional strength to the crane. Creo Parametric and Ansys were utilized for design and validation of it.

Design, FEA Analysis and Manufactured working model of a Six-Legged Kinematic Walker

CERTIFICATIONS

Master Diploma in Automotive Design (Catia, Creo, Ansys, NX-Cad, Cam, Nastran, Hypermesh, GD&T) 2015

Master Diploma in Project Planning and Management (MSP, Primavera) 2015

MICROSOFT – Introduction to R for Data Science; Six Sigma; BioRAFT- PPE, Shop orientation 2016, 2017

ELIGIBILTY – Eligible to work in the U.S. for internships and for full-time employment for up to 36 months without sponsorship.
