Ab Initio Developer(Business Intelligence) – NTT DATA(2 Yrs)

Job Responsibilities: Software Developer under Business Intelligence domain in one of the most leading ETL tools “Ab Initio”. Member of DEV-Solutions team of Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina project. Designed and developed graphs for data extraction, transformation and loading. Learnt how to resolve graphical failure issues. Created shell scripts in UNIX for the different projects in Ab Initio. Since UNIX was the back-end operating system, I am very good at writing UNIX commands. Understood the behavior of graphs in different environments(DEV & QA) and learnt how to solve environmental issues and problems. Unit tested the graphical developments using actual client data. Worked with a team of developers throughout the project lifecycle and developed good team work spirit. I was also responsible for providing KT to freshers on the SDLC and the complexity of the project.

Developed and tested the graphs for Medical and Pharmacy under Health Care Reform(HCR) project of Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina. HCR deals with providing additional benefits and more number of improvements to customers but at a low cost.

FEP(BCBSNC) - NTT DATA

Developed and tested the graphs for Federal Employee Program(FEP) project under Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina. Loaded the FEP tables with required data after performing provided transformations by the client. FEP project was to offer a high deductible health plan for members living in certain locations.

Developed and tested the graphs for Medical and Pharmacy under Health Care Reform(HCR) project of Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina. The changes according to the new SPEC were implemented in the graph for medical. The new code for medical graph was performed and executed.

Link-State Routing Protocol Simulator Implemented Link-state routing protocol simulator to determine the shortest path between the source and the destination routers using JAVA. Constructed the intermediate states of the links for each router in the topology from the source router. Modification of topology by removing or adding a router in real time. Used MySQL Database to handle information about router locations and data. Implemented and modified Dijkstra’s algorithm using JAVA.

Counting Hashtags using Hadoop Data was ingested in Hadoop using Flume and PIG was used for analyzing that data. Used the powerful SerDe interface with Hive, which processed the data that has a looser structure than would be possible in a relational database. Then counted the number of hashtags and found the popular one among the set taken into consideration.
