PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Project Trainee, ISRO (Indian Space Research Org) - Bangalore, India Jan 2015 – April 2015

•Trained in NX, Linux, Patran and Nastran to produce detailed CAD designs of the conceptualized lunar landing mechanism in deployed and stowed configuration and prepared Bills of Material(BOM).

•Performed vibrational analysis to estimate the natural frequency of the Lunar Lander Leg mechanism in stowed and deployed configuration and to determine the mode shapes using Nastran.

•Conducted structural and thermal analysis using FEA packages of the Lander Leg components during launch and impact to estimate interface loads and stress margins using Nastran.

Mechanical Intern, BOSCH – Bangalore, India June 2014 – July 2014

•Performed Quality Control and Assessment of common rail pumps and implemented value stream mapping and SPC.

•Developed fixture designs for common rail pump housing using CreO and used ANSYS to determine the forces induced.

Intern, FIAT India Pvt. Ltd. – Pune, India June 2013 – July2013

•Received training in vehicle diagnosis and workshop repair of FIAT vehicles.

•Gained proficiency in the repair of common automobile problems and in the service procedure.

•Achieved familiarity in recognizing bottlenecks in assembly lines and lean manufacturing.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Probabilistic Analysis of a B-Pillar of a Sedan Aug 2016 – Dec 2016

•Designed B-Pillar of the car using CATIA V5. The dimensions and material of the composite B-Pillar is varied along with grain orientation of the fiber in the composite and data for side crash tests are obtained as per FMVSS.

•Applied Monte Carlo method and performed reliability and sensitivity analysis to the data set to obtain the probability of failure and reliability if the system.

Design Optimization of Heat Exchanger Jan 2016 – May 2016

•Modeled shell and tube exchanger using Solidworks and using Multi – Optimization Genetic Algorithm to optimize the number of tubes and dimensions of the shell, baffle spacing and baffle angle using Static and Thermal DOE and MATLAB.

Heat Transfer Analysis and Structural Analysis Finite Elements of Engineering Jan 2016 – May 2016

Analyzed Non-linear Heat and Mass transfer problems over a slab with defined boundary conditions using MATLAB. Developed MATLAB codes to perform linear analysis of a rotating mass suspended with a steel rod and validated the results using AQAQUS.

Design and Fabrication of Smart Pill Dispenser Jan 2017 – May 2017

•Conceptualized and designed a smart pill dispenser using Pro-E and CATIA V5. Developed prototypes for hardware testing.

•Integrated IoT sensors with the design using Adruino to make the pill dispenser smart.
