Shift Leader
Oversees and ensures the smooth, efficient operations of the shift to ensure all scheduled and breakdown work was carried out in their priorities
Supervises and schedules employees responsible for monitoring and analyzing process units
Writes work permits and performs lock-out/tag-outs of equipment for repair
Monitors & maintains the inventory of raw materials, chemicals and other plant utilities effectively to an optimum level
Patrols around the area to check for leaks and faulty valves, to secure safety
Performs other related duties as assigned by Foreman such as taking part in training/ developing new recruits/ implementing orientation programs, preparing necessary reports, plant shutdown and startup procedures, etc.
Main DCS ( Distributed Control System) Operator
Responsible for the efficient and safe operation at the Ore Preparation, High Pressure Acid Leaching, Pre-NTRL, Counter Current Decantation and NTRL sections through the DCS (Distributed Control System) control, monitoring, field equipment operation, follow-up of regular sampling and results of the analysis for proper recording and appropriate action or necessary adjustment to stabilize process conditions and parameters
Monitors all plant operations on screens and computers, to watch closely to identify any abnormal operating and equipment conditions
Takes immediate corrective actions to limit risk to personnel, ensure safe shutdown and isolation of equipment during emergency situations
Controls all process parameter conditions such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, levels, etc., through displays, graphics and trend logs
Responsible for maintaining detailed reports of operation, updating process logbooks with activities and process adjustments made, noting any issues encountered and measures taken
Communicates with field operators for parameter adjustments in field
HPAL (High Pressure Acid Leaching) Field Supervisor
Ensures efficient operation through field monitoring by constant checking of actual process conditions and see to it that the equipment are properly lubricated, cleaned, and operated to their normal operating capacity
Assists Maintenance Mechanical personnel during preventive and minor activities; reporting malfunctioning equipment if observed
Read flow meters, check temperatures and pressure gauges on all running equipment and vessels
Routinely fills drained products of coagulants, flocculants, and H2SO4 into totes and ISO containers
Analyzed samples of leached residue and overflow solutions to determine pH, turbidity and nickel content
