EXPERIENCE

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, & SAFETY SITE LEADER VERITAS STEEL EAU CLAIRE, WI 7/2015 – 12/2016

Developed standardized, annual training program and documentation for all three facilities. Maintained monthly reports/safety indicators and managed leading/lagging safety concerns. Coordinated incident reporting process, drove high-quality investigations and needed action item completions. Developed/implemented “safety week” safety talk program at the facility. Performed daily QC testing on internal and external samples. Designed a sample testing matrix that improved QC process efficiency. Developed weekly training program for both individual and group settings that ensured compliance with OSHA training standards (site-specific and corporate level). Ordered/inventoried all EHS supplies from vendors ensuring availability on site when needed. Increased average employee safety activity participation by 150% monthly. Directed/participated in bi-monthly EHS plant audits with Production employees. Led incident investigations including witness statements, root cause analysis and corrective actions. Awarded “You Made A Difference” Award for health and safety contributions to the company.

PROJECTS SAFETY UNIFICATION PROJECT

Worked with site EHS Leaders at all three facilities to develop a unified Safety Program based off process improvement (ISO) best practices. Mini-projects included consolidating PPE, lessening unnecessary spending, and generating new procedures and documentation. Led document standardization, consolidation, and implementation for all sites. HAZARD MAPPING PROGRAM

Program designed to raise awareness of safety hazards and promote self-ownership of an individual’s work area(s). Managed 14 Production leaders in proper safety hazard determination and correction via bi-monthly meetings. 155 unique hazards identified/corrected within first quarter of program implementation. SAFETY STAR PROGRAM

Behavioral-based safety program designed to promote safety awareness, overall safety participation, and recognize employees for their commitment to preventing/reducing incidents and injuries. Increased safety participation 300% within first month of program initiation. Program is currently in use at ten Prince manufacturing facilities nationwide. PRINCE VISITOR SAFETY BROCHURE

Created a visitor brochure to supply all necessary information/regulations regarding a Prince facility. Further developed a brochure template currently being used at 16 Prince facilities worldwide.
