Design Project – Supersonic Business Jet
Scope: Design a Supersonic Jet capable of cruising at a Mach 2 as well as having the capabilities of takeoff and landing at small airports.
Responsibilities:
• Power Tracking: Tracked the thrust required of engines of the aircraft throughout design iterations from Proposal up until Systems Acceptance Review.
• Optimization of wing characteristics in order to obtain the lowest propulsion requirements of mission segments, Take-off, Super-Cruise and Landing. The required thrust obtained was 350 kN obtained from the optimization analysis.
• Structural analysis and verification was conducted through the use of Matlab to test loads the aircraft would undergo through landing and takeoff.
Design Project: Bike Frame Analysis
Responsibilities:
• Design a bicycle frame within the Union Cyliste Internationale (UCI) rules.
• 3D Modeling of the bike frame, fork, and handlebars through Solidworks for analysis through simulation.
• Aerodynamic simulations and animation with Solidworks and achieved a down force of 1.393 Newtons.
• Stress analysis on the bike frame results yielded a failure at 1.5 times the weight of an average pro cyclist.
• Frequency analysis of the bike model yielded mode one resonant frequency at 1731rmp, 19 times the rpm of a pro cyclist. Computational Fluid Dynamics: Diamond-Wedge Airfoil Analysis Scope: Analysis on shock and expansion wave of a Diamond wedge airfoil in inviscid supersonic conditions Responsibilities::
• 3D cad Model of a Diamond Wedge Airfoil in Solidworks
• CFD simulation through the Star CCM+ software
• Analysis of airfoil characteristics with the change in Mach number, Wedge half angle and incidence angle.
• Verify finding through the use of past peer reviewed reports, exact solutions, and John D Andersons Jr. academic text book Fundamentals of Aerodynamics

Los Angeles City Open Water Seasonal Lifeguard March 01, 2014 – Present (30+ hrs seasonal) (8-16 hrs offseason) Oversee the safety of patrons using open water facilities such as beaches and lakes; patrols open water facilities operating an authorized emergency vehicle; rescues and takes preventive measures to protect patrons using the facility for recreational boating, jet skiing, water skiing, sail boarding, swimming, and other recreational activities; may operate rescue trucks and rescue powerboats to perform these task, may supervised train subordinate employees; and perform related work.
