Detailed Job Description
Establishes a therapeutic relationship with the patient and the family.
Receives/Performs endorsements from outgoing/incoming shift.
Makes general rounds of the patients.
Takes and records patients' vital signs.
Joins doctors' rounds, provide accurate information, assists doctors during procedures and accomplish doctors' orders.
Administer and record prescribed medication and treatment.
Facilitate signing of consents.
Reports significant information or observation to senior head or unit head.
Act as liaison between patients and hospital personnel.
Explains nursing procedure and treatment ordered to gain patients cooperation and allay apprehension.
Maintains safe and conducive environment for the patients.
Performs necessary activities from admission to discharge of patients.
