Leadership and Management Milestones

Coordinated Master Plan completion – Oversaw the completion of a $3.5M project including a new salt water swimming pool, cabana kitchen, locker rooms, parking expansion, landscaping, and driving range completion.

Staff Training – conducted annual all staff meetings involving national and prominent local speakers. Conducted annual management team retreats; provided on-line training opportunities and budgets for staff development.

Crisis Management – oversaw the remediation and renovation resulting from a backup event in 2012 impacting 10,000 square feet of the clubhouse including administrative offices. Coordinated temporary relocation of administrative offices including phone systems, data cabling and electricity.

Fixed Asset Reserve Study – demonstrated the need to conduct a fixed asset study; researched and commissioned a contractor; coordinated efforts with the management team and contractor to categorize and quantify the club’s assets.

Capital Improvement Fee -worked in conjunction with the Finance Committee and Board to demonstrate the need for a monthly capital improvement fee based on the findings of the Fixed Asset Study and resulting cash flow analysis. Authored a white paper on the subject for the membership along with supporting materials.

Membership Promotions – Everett Golf & Country Club suffered significant membership attrition in 2009. I proposed and with board approval, implemented a membership promotion that brought in 105 new members including 45 certificate members. All marketing and promotion was done in-house.

Privacy audit – demonstrated a need to conduct a privacy audit at the Club based on concerns surrounding litigation at a Washington club. Worked with National Club Association Chief Counsel, Brad Steele, to assess areas of vulnerability; recommended policy and procedural changes and worked with a privacy subcommittee to communicate and rationalize the need for change.

Centennial Celebration - worked in conjunction with committee chairwoman to conceptualize, develop, fund and execute a successful year-long centennial celebration.
