I&C Design Engineer - Produce Engineering Change Packages based on design requirements in accordance with current procedures. Complete all phases of design review meetings. Make changes to drawings via drawing change authorizations. Provide engineering support to plant operations. Performed task oversight duties for projects contracted to outside vendor for implementation.

DRS-TEM LLC, 2004 – 2012

Project Engineer - Managed a project team of 4 engineers and $250K budget culminating in the successful design, build and qualification of a computer automated test set used to electronic test hardware installed in tracked military vehicles. Wrote project plan, statement of work, qualification / test plan to include requirements database and risk mitigation plans. Scheduled and held periodic status meetings and logged minutes. Updated schedule regularly to show progress and estimate completion dates.

Alstom Power Inc. 2001 – 2004

I&C Commissioning Engineer - Traveled to remote location of newly built combined cycle power plants to verify wiring, and construction of steam turbine PLC control system. Make software changes to control system as necessary for proper operation. Verification of proper installation and testing of generator protection system. Systematically start up various balance of plant systems. Tune systems utilizing function block logic software control system. Perform various milestone testing of systems per schedule. Train customer personnel on the proper use of the control system.

PEI Electronics, 1997 – 2001

Product Design Engineer - Designed and tested various analog and digital circuit card assemblies used in automated electronic test sets. Designed assemblies for use in VXI, VME and proprietary chassis. Gained valuable experience in problem solving and electronic troubleshooting skills. Gained experience in RS485/422/232, Mil-STD-1553, Ethernet, PCMCIA and USB communication buses. Developed RTL FPGA firmware using hardware descriptive language (VHDL) allowing digital control of electrical hardware and generating video test patterns. Designed and documented vehicle cabling systems.

United States Navy, 1985 - 1993

Machinist Mate (E6) - Completed over 8-years of honorable service with the U.S. Navy in the submarine service. Gained valuable mechanical experience in the operation and maintenance of steam, hydraulic, pneumatic, oxygen piping systems, atmosphere control equipment, diesel generators, and AC&R systems. Confidently repaired numerous mission critical submarine systems which enabled successful, on-time deployments while attached to the USS L.Y. Spear (AS-36). Successfully started up and managed a new, remotely located two man recruiting office.
