RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Flexural fatigue failure analysis of e-glass polyester uni-directional angle ply composite laminate

Analysis is done to study the use of the laminate in the fiber reinforced components like leaf spring, wind turbine blades, aero plane wings, boat hulls, and even most of the automotive components

Designed and fabricated the test rig and the dynamic load sensor.

Prepared the Composite Laminate by Compression Molding Technique.

Conducted the tensile tests on the specimen using the Universal Testing Machine(UTM)

Numerically modelled the Stiffness Degradation Curve.

Used the softwares, LabVIEW and OriginLab in the analysis.

Conducted Flexural Fatigue Test of the laminates in 11 different angle orientations. Research Assistant at Jawaharlal Nehru technological university (manufacturing processes, metallurgy and mechanics of solids)

Worked in rubber and plastic molding processes, rubber and plastic part design, mold design and properties of various rubber compounds and plastic materials.

Learnt to apply knowledge of machinery operations and the working properties of materials to design products and prototyping.

Incoming inspection, in-process inspection and inspection of finished goods.

Taking corrective and preventive actions for non-conformance occurrences.

Also, have working knowledge of impact testing and tensile testing. WORK EXPERIENCE

Mechanical Engineer intern with MRF Tyres – PRETREADS (MAY 2013-AUG 2013)

- Manufactured tread rubber and repair materials for retreading of tyres.

- Controlled the conditions of procuring tread rubber carefully.

- Worked in the team to improve the quality and the mileage in procured retreading.

- Learnt the requirements for retreading radial tyres of passenger vehicles and trucks.

- Worked in research of tread patterns for various applications.

- Submitted my report to the university and earned credits on my bachelor degree. Teaching Assistant at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University

- Engineering Drawing, Machine Drawing, Probability and statistics, Numerical Methods Other PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Modal Analysis of Lamborghini Chassis

Constructed Wireframe Geometry in CATIA using Blueprints.

Later Wire frame geometry was transformed into Solid chassis.

Modal analysis of chassis is done in ANSYS-workbench.

Dynamic behavior of chassis was studied and provided recommendations to avoid structural deformity.

Transmission Loss of a Muffler

Muffler Geometry was designed in NX-CAD software.

Acoustic domain was created from CAD Model in ANSYS-workbench.

Excitation (mass source), boundary conditions, and acoustic ports where assigned.

Found Transmission losses through Harmonic response analysis and gave advice to reduce NVH Issues.

Study of Effective Heat conductivity using ANSYS-Fluent

Metal plates with varying pores/inch were constructed in ANSYS.

Pores were assigned with air while plate was assigned with Al, Fe and Cu Materials.

Applied Heat flux and Temperature after meshing.

Temperature difference results was used to calculate Keff.

Theoretically calculated Keff and was compared with ANSYS Keff

% Difference is being calculated and found astonishing result. INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED Proficiency
