Project Description:

Post Cereals (previously Postum Cereals) is an American consumer cereal brand headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and comes under Manufacturing/Food Processing Domain.

The Project was to take care of all the Basic Modules in the Food and Packaging industry.

The modules include Sales, Inventory, Procurement, Inventory Ageing,Finance etc.

Project's main Focus in the BI area was to Produce Daily reports from the Different Modules like sales, inventory etc and Perform analysis on top to take management decisions like Growing Sales in a particular area, Selling off the Ageing Goods, Reducing Overheads and costs,raising Promotional events and so on .

The Source for the POST is JDE(JDE Edwards), with ETL Layer in Datastage and Infromatica and the Reporting layer in Essbase/Peoplesoft.

Responsibility Handled:

Developing Datastage Jobs and Informatica Mappings in Parallel for Extracting Data from the Oracle ERP System JDE(JD Edwards).

Project Description: Nordea is the largest financial services group in northern Europe, with a market capitalization of around 28 billion Euros, total assets of 671 billion Euros and a core Tier I capital ratio of 11.0%. Nordea has a leading position in Corporate Merchant Banking, Retail Banking and Private Banking. Nordea is also the largest life and pension company of the region.

For Nordea project we had to produce monthly reports for Risk Weighted Assets - Basel II which has to be submitted to FSA for approval. The project works on development and maintenance areas of BASEL II, BASEL III, CRD IV, legislation, capital requirement, LGD/CCF, PD, and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) which has different data from more than 160 source systems.

In Nordea Basel II module we used to transform these data, filter them, apply business rules and load it into SAP Bank Analyzer system which is then loaded to SAP BW responsible for producing different reports for the Bank. These reports are then send to the bank which is further submitted for FSA approval each month. Part of the scoping team and involved in requirement gathering and then writing Technical specifications in the HLD(High level designs) based on Functional Spec.
