Led management buy-out, turnaround and sale for LA Weight Loss brand and in less than two years successfully completed a turnaround of the business which culminated in sale to Canadian company.

Drove 25% compounded growth rate and grew LA Weight Loss into an 850 location $500M business in six years. Supported franchise and corporate owned centers with financial, IT, and purchasing oversight. Growth was all organic and funded with self-generated cash flow.

Directed $70M Divestiture of a $60M subsidiary. Oversaw the transaction from the preparation of the initial offering to the final closing and transition to the buyer. Recognized a $50M gain on the deal, receiving recognition for success.

2nd Ave Value Stores, GreenDrop LLC, Bensalem, PA 2014 to 2017

$75M thrift store business supported by GreenDrop as the paid fundraiser soliciting individual households for clothing and household goods which were sold through 2nd Ave thrift stores.

Chief Financial Officer

Recruited for in-depth knowledge of all internal financial functions including controllership, budgeting, month-end close, financial statement reporting, financial/business/operations analysis, systems development and audit.

Supported 7% annual growth rate in retail sales along with 10% annual increase donations for 3 years.

Structured the generational ownership transition to allow one family member to buyout the other 50% owner and protect them from onerous estate tax liability.

Structured a $16M loan facility which consisted of revolving line of credit, growth capital for opening new stores, equipment line of credit for vehicles, and loans to support the generational ownership transition for the family. Created an acquisition strategy to identify target companies and joint ventures to leverage existing core assets. Built relationships with investment banks, commercial banks, and other parties to source acquisition opportunities; led deal evaluations, performed due diligence, and negotiated terms.

Led the due diligence, structuring, negotiations and integration of two $100M businesses from the initial phases of analysis through closing.
