Roles & Responsibilities

DMU Packaging study and integrating vehicle systems into a vehicle layout.

Analyzing the clash issues between the Vehicle Aggregates.

Defined VCS & LCS for Vehicle Aggregates as per Ashok Leyland Std.

EBOM management & PLM release work of 2D drawings and 3D-models from concept stage

to production.

Determine performance status and action plans to achieve requirements within program

timing and design constraints.

Assigned with the responsibilities of creating drafting, Assembly Drawing and Installation

drawing for new models.

Checking data accuracy with corresponding engineers by submitting part-systems for

releases.

Assigned with the responsibility in Workshop for assembling new product in Proto

development and field test. Providing Proper guidance & material maintain for Proto build.

Responsible for establishing the specifications of the material procurement from supplier for

new development and play active role in helping the purchase department.

Communicate periodic status and achievement plans to teammates and leaders.

Use analytical, benchmark or vehicle development tools / methods, as appropriate.

Participate in and lead vehicle program integration team meetings.

Title : Implementation Of ABS in Tractor Trailer Axles.

Description The ABS system sense the wheel locking by means of pole wheel and

:

a sensor. The pole wheel is mounted on the hub and the sensor is mounted on the brake torque plate.

Hence the hub and brake mounting plate on the axle have to be modified/ designed to have ABS

compatibility.

Title : Modification of new bearing concepts.

Description : In unitized bearings, the two taper roller bearings as a single set is

assembled at the supplier end itself in the hubs. This reduces the assembly cost, time and also

increases the fatigue life of the bearings. Hence, to accommodate the unitized bearings, the hubs and

the spindle ends of the rear axles have to be modified/ designed.
