My name is Dave Thomas. I am the VP of Operations at Standard Locknut LLC. in Westfield, Indiana. We are a Machine Shop specializing in Pillow Blocks housings, Bearing accessories and P.T. components. We pride ourselves on outstanding Quality, Competitive Cost and On-Time Delivery.
Prior to October of 2012, I was the Plant Manager of Keihin IPT Mfg. in Greenfield, Indiana. This facility is a Japanese – American transplant and a Tier 1 Supplier to American Honda. Keihin IPT casts (Alum. & Magnesium), machines and assembles Intake Manifolds and EA (elect. actuated) assemblies all under one roof.
While with Keihin Corporation (17 years), I had the distinct opportunity to manage 3 of their 4 manufacturing plants in N.A.

I have a number of overall work experiences and training that hopefully will create an interview opportunity with your organization. I have managed 3 shift 450,000+ sq. ft. facilities ranging from 400 to 1,050 Associates, achieved TS certification and maintained a Safe “Concern Free Work Environment” for our valued Associates. My manufacturing experiences start with my Production planning background coupled with Materials and Production management.
As Plant Manager / COO, I’ve been able to develop my management teams based on my plant floor experiences including Lean manufacturing. I believe our Associates are our best resource with regards to problem solving and on-going improvement (Kaizen) and I recognize that my success depends on their ability to perform at a high level.
