Experience
Metrolab (2015) – Freelancer
Developed embedded Firmware and Hardware based on
STM32F429 for clinical analysis. The board control a stepper motor for syringe movement, two valves with controlled power, a 24 bits ADC and several IO. The firmware for STM32F4 used CMSIS interface.
Independent project (2014-2015) – Freelancer
Developed a full MIDI keyboard: hardware and low level firmware based on PIC32MZ. The project included several boards sensing magnetically keyboard keys and a joystick.
SourceBits (2012- 2013) – FreeLancer
Resume Engineer Sergio Sirota Page 3 of 3
Developed hardware and firmware based in Microchip’s PIC32 architecture. The system received ultrasonic signals, processed them, and sent the samples via USB to an Apple device.
Hardware (schematics and PCB) developed in Altium Designer. Software developed in MPLAB
Freelance Consultancy (2007- 2012) – FreeLancer
VHDL: Firmware development for radars and communication systems for space applications.
Auditory: Aerospace (satellite) Communications Systems under standard MIL-STD-1553.
Auditory (Hardware Reliability): Electronic circuits’ FMEA under NASA or European Space Commission specifications.
Auditory: (Firmware Reliability): VHDL Firmware’ QA Analysis. Equipment Development: Equipment for the assistance in the testing of radars (emulation of encoders, PLCs, digital input, PC communications, etc.).
Tecno Accion (1989- Today)
o Staff in charge: 2 people (hardware) / 6 people (software) / 2 people (testing)
o Software Development: API for embedded systems, including embedded Linux boards based on a Dual Cortex A7 processor. We use SVN like repository, with a ticket systems to report troubles to fix, and an Eclipse (Linux) based environment to develop multiplatform software. We are going to introduce a continuous integration server where store the unit tests, letting get a better-quality software.
o Hardware Development: Development of portable POS for online and offline gambling, including:
Architecture specification
Technological specification
Schematic Design
PCB Design
Firmware Design (C, Assembler and VHDL)
Production Control
