MELISSA SCHOETTLE
I have recently returned to the workforce after spending the past 20 years raising my children. While my sons were growing up I completed my undergraduate degree in Art. Though I did not major in psychology, I took many courses in that department and have recently completed my first year studying for a Masters in Social Work at Widener University where I maintain a 3.95 GPA. I have developed strong organizational and time management skills as result of going to school while raising and homeschooling two neuro-atypical sons. Being an artist and an Improv Comedy performer, I am often able to envision creative solutions to problems or issues that arise and find humor in challenges. My strong intellectual curiosity for psychology has lead to me to seek out learning of my own accord and I have read extensively on trauma and emotional recovery. My favorite theorists are Bessel Van Der Kolk and Alice Miller. I have the skills and the maturity to provide a rich resource of creativity and support to your organization.
