I was also tasked to verify insurances for patients, accepts payments through the practices paying system, closing duties consisted of insuring that money and credit cards were balanced, sanitizing patient waiting area, and locking all doors and drawers specified in closing duties.

Externship for 200 hours. Initially I assessed patients by checking their vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and breathing rate as well as measuring patients weight and height. I obtained medical history of patient by asking about their medical conditions, their medications, and their allergies. I recorded all findings on to patients charts and alerted physician of the results. I collected blood samples by venipuncture, labeled blood tubes, and completed appropriate forms to send to appropriate laboratory for testing. I instructed patients on proper collection procedures, received, validated, processed as well as distributed specimen to proper laboratory for testing. I maintained a clean work environment.

As an Administrative Assistant, I assisted in administrative management of all department matters, including providing guidance to 28 personnel in the IT department of the South West Region Maintenance Command - San Diego, CA. I was responsible for timekeeping of personnel and ordering supplies for the department through the Navy Enterprise Maintenance Automated Information System. I also created and distributed work assignments for personnel within the department. My responsibilities also included updating and maintaining personal information for the IT Department Head records. I collected user agreement forms and conducted ships rider briefs, ensuring a virus-free network and adherence to ship's network security policies.
As Help Desk Operator, I took incoming trouble calls for ships 2000 personnel, and distributed the tasking to IT personnel to assist with computer or network issues.
