PROJECTS

Master’s Thesis- FEM Analysis of Composite Stringers of an Airplane Fuselage, Guide: Prof. Andrey Beyle, Dec 2016

Stress and deformation calculations, torsion analysis, buckling analysis and factor of safety calculations were carried out for aluminum against various composite materials to find the best material.

Models were created on SolidWorks and analysis was done on Ansys. Analytical validation was done manually and by using Mathcad.

Study on various composites such as Carbon Epoxy, Glass Epoxy and Kevlar Epoxy was conducted.

I-beam, box beam and double I beam were used and their structural analysis was done.

High speed impact and drop test using Explicit Dynamics in ANSYS Workbench, Sept 2016

•Performed dynamic study of a solid body (Baja chassis) impacting a pillar at high velocity caused due to external force such as explosion or collision

•Performed drop test analysis of a plastic remote casing using explicit dynamics.

Design Analysis for Plate and Bolts assembly, Feb 2016

•The model geometry was created in SolidWorks assembly for the given material specifications.

•The file was imported to ANSYS Workbench to create mesh and perform stress and deformation analysis simulations. Furthermore various boundary conditions were implied.

Design of Dual mass flywheel pump system, Oct 2012- Mar 2013

It worked on the principle of inertia augmentation method, to reduce the power consumption and also to help produce more discharge in a given time by forming a couple. Created layouts, sketches and assembly design.

Various parts of the model were manufactured. Sheet metal fabrication was done using structural steel. Welding, grinding, milling and lathe machines were used in the process by me. The other parts were bought according to the standards available in the market

Presented seminars on various topics such as Formula 1 tires, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), Reverse Engineering and Concurrent Engineering.
