SAFETY AND LABOR MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Worked within both the General Industry and Construction (Field Service) Safety operations for several Oklahoma-based companies for the past 18 years. Prior to those years of service as a safety professional, I worked in the Oil/Gas and Energy business as a Pipefitter/Welder, Lead-man, Supervisor for a Compression operation, and Quality Control Technician responsible for all quality of the raw material receiving and ship-loose shipment of finish product to the customer.

My Safety performance within the General Industry range from Chairman of the Employee Driven Safety Committee, were I ran the operations and communication of this program to the manufacture manager, to being promoted as the Safety Coordinator II for a steel-manufacture facility located in both Tulsa and Broken Arrow. These operations required the management of both safety operations where each operations and locations were managed by several different department supervisors, and department managers. Responsibility included the coordinate and unity of the overall company safety program for the two operations was mine to complete and results were accountable directly to the company’s President.
My latest position in safety moved me to the field service operation of the energy sector for an aftermarket energy operation within the oil and gas business. I served as the company’s first Field Service Specialist and maintained a field service operational group of 50 employees that grew to include operational employee’s that ultimately accounted for 160 employees. I helped facilitate the growth and maturity of the Field Safety program for all field operations within the company. This operation covered all 50 states. In doing so, I wrote the Field Service Safety Manual, directed the D&A program, facilitated annual safety training, cover review and written recommendations for safety issue when contracts and master service agreements were reviewed.
OPERATIONAL SKILLS
Good general knowledge of Microsoft Office skills including: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Maintained various On-Line Safety Management Systems: ISNetworld, Aveta, BROWZ: overall, the program accounted for155 different owners/customers.
Operated various Safety Council web-based portal to schedule safety training nationwide for companies’ field service technicians and engineering employees.
Maintained and facilitated an On-line D&A and Background Screening Safety Program that included nine Random D&A programs for U.S. and International companies.
Maintained verification and annual-certification of the D&A and Background Screening for major companies thru DISA Global Solutions and other third party compliance vetting organizations like NCMS, BROWZ, AVETA, and ISNetworld.
Responsible to help verify OSHA logs were correct and insure annual report to DOT and MSA were completed to compliance agencies and on-line customer’s Safety Management platforms around the country
Reported annual OSHA 300/300A Log to various safety councils, and on-line safety management programs.
Provided contract review and PQF (Prequalification Forms) to companies’ Legal Department for approval before publishing.
COMMUNICATION
Maintained department and companywide communication with written and oral response for Field Safety issues within the company, including Contract or Master Service Agreement review for OSHA/Safety Related topics with Department Manager and Legal Department.
Maintain dialogue with outside vendors to keep current on all developing safety issues and regulations, including safety equipment and procedures development that proved to be best-practice that were current practices within the scope of safety for the plant and field.
Responsible to maintain and deliver current annual safety training and manual review with all field service departments and employees in the field. Verification of safety performance by conducting Behavioral Based Safety Review and Filed Safety Audit of the manufacture group and field service employees during field service audits.
New-Hire training that included training and review of company’s Safety Policy and Safety Manual review, respirator fit-test and Hearing Protection training, conducted Smith Driving instruction, JSA review, and annual update for all OSHA compliance issue. The total field service D&A and Background Screening for 150 employees were completed within the Field Safety Department for nine different random programs.
LEADERSHIP
Steered successful Employee Driven Safety Committees that reduced injuries, lower OSHA recordable numbers that resulted in reduction of ERM and TRIR for the company.
Conducted Annual Field Safety Training for two manufacturing operations and three separated Field Service groups.
