Director of Operations

Reports to the Regional Director of Operations. Accountable for effective leadership to plant employees at the tablet facility. Key responsibilities include: planning, development, and implementation of effective operations policies, D.O.T compliance and regulations procedures; Lead senior management in developing the daily directions strategy for short and long term goals and plans. Plan the long-term budget projections procedures, and planning.

Achievements -Re-structured the operation departments to transition to a Integrated High Performing Organization; Led the cultural change of the operation to one oriented towards safety and continuous improvement where over 70% of the labor force engaged in Continuous Improvement; Maintained exemplary regulatory compliance from D.O.T CalOsha, HACCP, UL, cGMP & FDA audits; Executed capital projects and production line re-configurations to increases in operating efficiencies by almost 20%; At Nature's Bounty I took over two sites and 6 departments with a $150 million budget that had missed budget by $250k the prior year. I implemented new cost control procedures and replaced numerous suppliers, leading to a $125k positive variance at the end of the company’s fiscal year 2015.

Provide both tactical and strategic leadership for the Naked Juice 3rd shift plant operation, which consist of union employees ranging from FLTM’s, Quality Control, Transportation, Maintenance Technicians, and Automations operators.

Monitors the total production process from blending to packaging to ensure that safety, quality, production and business goals are met.

Achievements –Developed a continuous education curriculum for all union operators, which have benefited production across all shifts. Led the shift responsible for breaking Naked Juice’s company record for cases processed within a shift.
