General Supervisor/Quality Manager/Production Engineer

Had several key positions within company including; General Supervisor (as General Supervisor I was responsible for all Equipment efficiencies, all production scheduling, all relations with Union activities, and facilitating meetings/training of all Production Supervisors on all shifts), Quality Manager, Production Engineer/Supervisor, Quality Supervisor, and most recently held was Quality/Production Manager. My positions held encompassed all below mentioned:

Establish & Maintain TS 16949 Quality System at two separate UAW facilities. Certified Internal Auditor for both QS 9000 and TS 16949. Responsible for facilitating third party audits at both locations.

Involved in contract negotiations and development along with all direct relations with their appointed UAW Chairman. (300+ UAW employee facility)

Management Rep. for both our facilities.

Customer contact responsible for all our GM and non-GM customers.

PPAP Submissions. Coordinate PTR runs for both our facility and Saginaw Metal Castings facility through two plants.

Responsible for entire hourly Quality Staff along with, the Salary, Leak Test function at our Impregnation facility.

Chosen by Saginaw Metal Casting Operations (GM-SMCO) Purchasing Dept. as the supplier contact liaison between both their customers: GM Flint Engine North and GM Flint Engine South.

Invited by GM Defiance Ohio Engineering staff to assist in the launch of the 3800 engine block through GM Flint Engine North.

Required to attend the GM CIT meetings at both GM Tonawanda New York and GM Flint Engine North.

Assist Financials in quoting, outsourcing and layouts for GM RFQ procedure.

Assist Financials to determine the Standard Direct Labor hours and Indirect Labor hours for both facilities. This includes calculating machine efficiencies and the layout of the entire production staff to ensure to operations are running and do run as efficiently as possible.

Provide all Production Supervision in both facilities, all the implementation plans for determining manpower reductions and troubleshooting process restraints or potential process restraints.

I was one of the primary contacts for our facilities ADT alarm system.

Very involved in Six Sigma Projects. DOE’s, Data collection, Charting, etc.

Very proficient in several computer programs including Excel, Word, Windows 95, 98, 2000, Gauge Pak, Mini-Tab, SPC express, and on-line sites which include IMPACT and Logic Solutions.

(Had personally planned out and executed over $750,000.00 worth of cost savings in 2005/2006 by determining, planning, & implementing process improvements and manpower revisions.)
