oThis enabled us to process a series of printed circuit board products. By doing this, we reduced product-to-market time of future designs, saving the company in excess of $1.5M.

There was a problem in our validation development that was costing the company profits. The quality of board development needed improving. There were too many mistakes between engineering and physical designers that were taking too long to resolve.

oI presented and received approval for a plan that added a physical designer to the team along with the tools he needed to perform the functions. This change quickly improved quality and reduced the design cycle, resulting in an annual cost reduction of $80,000 annually and an improvement in electrical design efficiency by 20%.

My company was having problems with the availability of inventory. Requisitions were taking one month to be processed and became a liability on development projects. Components shown as being on-hand when a requisition was created were not available when the actual purchase order was placed, causing critical problems in the building of the PCB’s.

oI met with purchasing, reviewed the current procedure, and developed actions that improved the process. The filling of requisitions improved from a month to two days, and the on-time completion of projects exceeded expectations.
