Project Description:
MBI deals with managed CPE ordering and responsible for planning, design and configuration of the LAN and IP Telephony solution and the commissioning activities for the LAN, WAN, and IP Telephony solutions.
The OSS supports the L2C from sales & design tools through to order management &fulfillment, inventory management, billing.
It ensures what was sold to the customer (either as new sales or change controls to existing contracts) appears correctly on the contract & flows through to the bills via inventory based billing.
the following products are used in MBI: CPE (Customer Premise Equipment), Items, NS (Network Services), VAS (Value Added Service)
• Provide: To deliver one or more new services to a completely new infrastructure set or customer site.
• Amend: Make changes to the services for an existing infrastructure set. This will include adding, amending and ceasing services on that set. Amend Orders are done based on
Addition to existing service – Like adding sites to existing sites list, Upgrading products.
Rewrite contracts – If the existing contract needs updates regarding terms, services.
• Cease: To cease the complete infrastructure set.

Project Description:
Data Management Centre of Excellence is the ETL project which extracts data from various Telstra’s
Sourcesystems, transform or cleanse the data as per the business logic using the data ware house tool
DataStageand data transformation tool CR-X and load the data into the downstream systems.
My team is engaged in testing the following components which serve ETL and Reporting
Batch Service Layer (BSL)
BSL (Batch Services Layer) is a shared service platform that can be used across different functional domain
within Telstra. BSL is designed to handle batch data processing at 15 minute intervals. Daily input file volumes processed are in the range of 5-7 Gigabytes.
The BSL application uses a range of tools that are controlled by schedules and scripts.
Transporting Data, Extracting Data, Transforming Data, Loading Data.
Data Integration Layer (DIL)
This component uses CR-X big data processing tool for data transformation. Receive and consolidate multiple upstream (Telstra-internal) data sources. Transform data according to business rules and supply downstream consumers.
Operational Reporting Environment (ORE)
ORE (Operational Reporting Environment) is an integrated reporting environment that delivers single point and consolidated.End-to-End Operational reporting capabilities to multiple Business units.
ORE Insight
It has the ability to accept data from various sources and project that data visually through the use of the QlikView Tool.
