Skills Summary
Children’s Pastor / Home School – Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and general management of the children’s church program.
Planning, developing, coordinating, and organizing daily Bible classes for each age group, and camp, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and Children’s Crusade

After School Counselor / Site Director / Sub / Summer Camp- Assist Program and Family Program Director and fill in as needed. Responsible for 20-25 children for after school program, including their safety and activities in assigned groups while following pick-up and check out procedures and reporting supplies needing repair or depleting to Camp Director, and following field trip procedure set by staff training. Made sure children had center time, gym time, homework time, outside time (when weather permitted), snack time, and other scheduled and holiday activities. Assisted children with homework, center-time, gym-time, outside-time, and all other scheduled activities.
Sports Assistant – Works under the general direction of the Youth Sports Director, in charge of administrative work pertaining to the running of the Youth Sports Department, in charge of team rosters, coach’s meeting packets, website updating, flyer updating, mass emails/newsletters, promotes materials and providing the North front desk and Sports Coordinator with roster/schedule binders. Demonstrates leadership, shows enthusiasm, works efficiently while paying attention to detail and displays a positive attitude and also serves as a wholesome role model to all parents, participants and other staff in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Scott County Family Y.

Substitute Teacher - Reports to school office at beginning of school day to pick up required materials/schedule of classes and at the end of the school day to return materials. Follows sign out procedures as prescribed by the principal. Carries out a program of study prescribed in the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans for the lessons, units, or projects assigned. Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting lesson objectives. Maintains a neat and orderly classroom. Straightens chairs, tables, clears chalkboard, etc. Takes attendance in accordance with school procedures. Indicates to students at beginning of class the basic expectations for behavior in the class in accordance with school and Buncombe County Schools policies. Insures that the students are never left unattended in the classroom. May perform duties usually required of absent teacher such as lunchroom duty, hall monitoring, etc. Knows emergency evacuation routes for the classrooms assigned.
