Senior Computer Operator
Responsible for support of over 400 Windows and Unix/Linux servers using a monitoring application called SolarWinds. The servers were both local and at our remote sites in Orlando and Tampa, Florida. We would perform daily disk space cleanup, monthly patching, system reboots, AD and Unix account password re-sets and unlocks, log Field Service calls with SMS for disk drive and other hardware replacements, and disk consolidation on our virtual servers using VMware vSphere. Monitored the nightly Autosys production schedule, troubleshot and reran failed jobs and escalated to the on- call when necessary. Monitored the nightly Legato/EMC Networker and Veritas Backup Exec backups, troubleshot and reran failed backups, performed restores and resolved tape and jukebox issues. Monitored the transition of several thousand database files and insured they were processed correctly from our remote stores and insured our stores were polled properly every morning with the current file updates using Axway and Remotware software. Opened, updated and closed several Zendesk problem tickets each shift. Insure the night shift turnover was accurate to turn over to the day shift and user community.

Senior End User Support Technician
Responsible for support of multiple IBM AS/400 servers located in 3 Data Centers using Control-M to start/stop and hold jobs, these servers were used by our world wide traders. Performed weekend IPL and backup maintenance on all servers. Monitored over 800 Windows and Unix servers using a tool called jMagic and using network tool HP Openview. Monitored Veritas Netbackup and Autosys Production jobs and would troubleshoot and restart all failed jobs. Provided Help Desk support for all our global customers and duties included: Opening/Closing and updating Service Center tickets, performing restores and rebuilds on all platforms, password re-sets and unlocks for all trader and customer accounts and several other work related issues. Coordinated with on call staff to insure system issues were being worked on by Field Service and would update all Service Center tickets opened for the issue.
