ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

SBIR Grant Phase I Proposal -- A Device for early detection of Acute Pancreatitis (Fall 2016)

• This proposal demonstrates a device that helps detect acute pancreatitis in early stages of its growth and thereby eliminating multiple organ failures

• Need here is to detect Interlurekin-8 in blood using a test apparatus or device that calibrates its level

• It predicts the severity of disease within onset time of 12 to 24 hrs

• Test apparatus includes a strip that tests IL-8 levels using an antibody, coagulated with colloidal tracer

• Prototype designed using AUTOCAD 2014

• There are certain facilities that are well advanced in dealing with pancreatic problems. Some of those include, Cleveland clinic, Massachusetts general, UPMC pancreas center for excellence, National pancreatic foundation. These facilities have dedicated laboratories for developing new methods and resources for pancreatitis Design of Cooling System for Core i7-5960X Processor (Spring 2016)

• Designed cooling system for a desktop computer for thermal management of the high-end processor;

• Identified parameters critical to efficient functioning of the cooling system – resistance, temperature, fan rpm and sealing material characteristics

• Designed cooling system using SolidWorks and simulated CFD analysis to evaluate performance and efficiency

• Provided comparative cost analysis to existing commercially available products to demonstrate cost- efficiency trade-off

Analysis of Spring in Pogo Stick (Fall 2015)

• Modeled pogo stick in Solidworks and analyzed it for stress, strain, and deformation in Ansys focusing on movement of spring; evaluated alternate materials for the spring to improve lifespan of spring Manufacturing of AMC’s (MS Research Paper) (Fall 2015)

• Economical methods of manufacturing of Aluminum Matrix Composites were discussed along with pros and cons of methods of production.

ISRO Manufacturing Assignment ( 2012- required for Creo Certification)

• Designed machine parts and assemblies in Creo Parametric; Drafted them in Creo as per requirements for their fabrication

• Coded CNC machine for the production of the machine parts Formula Student Germany 2K13 (2013 -UG cocurricular project)

• Collaborated as team to fabricate a Formula 1 prototype car to participate in FSG 2K13

• Designed inlet and outlet manifold of engine; Designed cooling system for F1 prototype

• Manufactured chassis with grinding, cutting and welding operations Microcontroller Based Wired Robot (2012)
