CLINICAL SKILLS
Performed nearly 2000 Diagnostic procedures comprising coronary angiography (TRA, TFA, Graft angio), Peripheral angiography including neuro DSA (Four vessel angio) and Cardiac cath study in the evaluation of congenital heart diseases etc.
Assisted nearly 2500 interventions comprising PTCA-(Elective, Primary, ROTA, CBA, IVUS, OCT, FFR, TRA, TFA), PTA, Device closure (ASD, VSD, PDA, RSOV, Coronary fistula etc), Peripheral angio-embolization, Balloon valvotomy (Aortic/pulmonary/mitral), IVC filters, Paediatric interventions under GA, Device implants (Pacemakers- Single/Dual, ICD, CRT) and EP procedures.
Performed as a primary operator nearly 250 interventions comprising PTCA, Pacemaker implants, Device closure and Balloon valvotomy.
Encountered and successfully managed complications during various interventions and emergency procedures like pericardiocentesis, TPI etc.
Completed certified BLS/ACLS course at our institution, was part of code blue team and successfully resuscitated numerous cardiac arrest patients.
Well trained in the management of ACS-STEMI/NSTEMI patients in ICCU
Obtained adequate expertise in non-invasive cardiology- ECG, HOLTER, TMT, Nuclear cardiology and ECHO-(TTE, TEE, Contrast, DSE, 3D, Paediatric).
Completed observership in the dept. of paediatric cardiology in AIMS, Kochi. Trained in clinical cardiology and witnessed innumerable ECHO imaging and Cath interventions.
Worked with cardiac surgeons in Heart team in the management of CAD/PAD/Valvular heart diseases/Congenital heart diseases etc.

Completed dissertation titled “UTILITY OF NEUTROPHIL GELATINASE–ASSOCIATED LIPOCALIN ( NGAL) IN PREDICTING ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME IN PATIENTS PRESENTING WITH ACUTE ONSET OF CHEST PAIN TO THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT”
Attended national and international conferences, Hands-on workshop and foundation courses on Interventional/Non-invasive cardiology, Electrophysiology and Pacing and Paediatric cardiology.

To practise and obtain the proficiency in the principles of clinical cardiology in management of adult and paediatric heart diseases.
