EDUCATION
KAPLAN UNIVERSITY Bachelors of Science - Emphasis Accounting
August, 2006 - March, 2009 Degree date: 2009 After my divorce in 2009 I needed more for myself and my two children as a single mom. I started working at Indiana Chair Frame (ICF); Division of Leggett & Platt on October 7, 2004. Within just a few months of answering the phones, routing calls and filing I was promoted to PA Assistant. A few months later I was promoted to AP and quickly added the duties of Cost Accountant, BOM Writer including working with blueprints, structuring, and time studies. I continued to take on more responsibility such as HR functions, Safety, OSHA, orientations and working with financial statements assisting the Controller with various projects including GL accounts, procurement, more extensive HR, and meetings with the President of ICF to assist in Corporate/Salesman correspondence, eBay sales, and budgeting. I was offered the opportunity to have some financial assistance to obtain my BS to essentially be promoted to the Controller position resulting in a more challenging and exciting role. Just shortly after graduating early- while working full and part time jobs, raising my boys and volunteering, in August of 2009 I was layed off because our biggest customers were government contracted. In the "depression of '09', State funds were frozen leaving ICF with minimal business. May 1, 2010 they shut the doors.
