Graduated Intern/Graduate Mechanic/Class room Assistant/ Seasonal Mechanic

Refurbish new and used bikes while I worked with troubled and homeless youth. I started as an intern in the program and worked hard and made Graduate Mechanic. Matt the shop owner was coming up with jobs for me to stay working there for as long as they could keep me with out crossing the guide lines.

As a Graduate Mechanic, I learned how to basically run a bike shop, mentored under a competing cyclist, Erin Young. I worked the till, check out, sizing, customer service and kept the floor full of new bikes. Everyday there were donations that came in, we would sort them and see what would go to the class room or that be able to be fixed and out on the floor, the rest would be used parts that would be cleaned up and put on bins out on the sale floor.

As a Class Room Assistant I had to prep for class and also help with instructing lesson segments. Other then that I would be fixing free bikes for homeless youth for the free bike program we ran, as well as fix the barrow bikes for the barrow bike program.

The drive threw was a good experience with the customer, you always had to be on your toes with orders and with food assembly. Constantly keeping everything clean and keeping dishes always and forever clean.

Being a cook was a good challenge, always having to do doubles and always monitoring the fryers, I had the responsibility stocking all the things that were cooked in the back, and for the buffet in the front. Cooking all the sides was a good hustle.
