PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

October 2011-Part Time -Cigna-HealthSpring-Assigned Hospitals: Albert Einstein Medical Center and Hahnemann University Hosp. Acute Care Manager, Health Services. Manage day to day on site functions of concurrent review and post discharge care coordination on identified Cigna members. Role is multidisciplinary collaboration: I monitor the utilization of care by proactively reviewing charts, doing rounds, consulting with attending physicians, residents, case managers of the hospital. I also monitor progress, provide education to members and their families in readiness for safe discharge. On admission, I do a holistic risk assessment including medications, disease process, etc that will guide me on where member will likely be safely discharged. I do authorizations for Acute. Rehab, Skilled Nursing Facilities, BH resources for Psych members & transfer to Psych facility if applicable; coordinate with facility UM representative after completing Cigna's UM, to issue notices of non-coverage and appeal rights as applicable. I also authorize, with a Cigna MD's consent, all home medical equipment with supporting documents from facility's attending. I do presentations on high utilizers who require additional care from our Living Well Centers, end stage diseases, hospice identified members, family meetings, etc.Very fast pace high energy!

January 2008 – Present Cancer Treatment Center – ICU and Oncology Clinic Float Pool. Pool Nurse – ICU, Care Management in Oncology Clinic, Charge Nurse Duties, PACU, SHORT PROCEDURE UNIT, IR. Provide patient care and participate in unit activities (patient care conferences, rounds, etc.), and supervise daily activities of the hospital as a charge nurse.

August 2005 –Present Around The Clock (ATC) Staffing Services.
