ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Currently involved in training, mentoring, reviewing and enhancing the productivity and quality performance of a team of 21 researchers located in Gurgaon, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

Involved in decision making process of setting up the productivity and quality standards for the researchers.

Handling ad hoc requests assigned by European and Asian clients. Collection, formatting, cleansing, maintenance, updating, selection, reporting and basic analysis of data sourced from news articles, press releases and SEC filings.

Monitoring & reporting on standards & performance targets. Arranging & chairing weekly team meetings, focusing on targets & achievements. Implementing new initiatives in the Corporate Data process.

Preparing daily workloads for staff and coordinating the daily allocation of work. Motivating the team to achieve high standards and KPI targets with respect to Defect per Unit (DPU) model.

Performing due diligence every month and eliminating the guideline related discrepancies among the team members.

Providing prompt and accurate information on individual performance to the Process Director.

Involved in private companies’ and investment firms’ native names consolidation. The request is received through mails from the Financial Language Editor based out in Manila and Buenos Aires, and London divisions of S&P Global.

Performing quality checks on the deliverables, mentoring and training the new hires and developing the knowledge repository.

Developing measurement system analysis of the QA team which is linked to the repeatability and reproducibility on a regular basis.

Reports and Guideline documentation related to the Corporate data process.

Liaising with other departments like Mergers and Acquisition, Private Placement, Private Equity research and Investment with respect to guideline updates, documentation, and tasks to be completed in stipulated time.

Query handling and training of new members based out in remote locations like Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

Looking into the QA arbitration data on a weekly basis and preparing the report with logical reasoning.

Spot quality checks of the QA researchers

Part of quarterly release testing that involves identifying bugs and enhancements in the collection tool.

Responsible for formalization and documentation of guidelines and protocols for Corporate Data (Formerly known as Entity Validations) in the mentioned regions on a dynamic basis.

Profiling companies with respect to their constitution, core business, firm characteristics, and professionals. It demands knowledge of business intricacies related to overseas mergers & acquisitions, private placements, buyouts, and receiverships.

Exposure to various databases including S&P Global platform, Factiva, IDC, SEC/SEDAR filings, Newsedge, Lexis Nexis, ModelStation (A Clarifi tool), US and Non US Companies registers.

MAJOR PROJECTS

1.Led a team of 11 senior researchers for the project pertaining to Australian and New Zealand based private entities. The companies were required to be created and profiled based on certain logic. QAd and prepared the analysis report of the ANZ project that was submitted to the process head.

2.Worked on client’s portfolio of 1500 companies which require the share pricing data to be corrected. Led a team of 12 FTEs where the project involved in-depth analysis and comparison of the pricing data available on Capital IQ and Compustat platform. The market data which includes the pricing estimates were deeply studied and the reasoning was provided to the client about the discrepancy in the historical share price information.

3.Led the project involving a team of 9 researchers for the creation and profiling of Private Companies, Foundations, Private and Public Investment Firms. These companies were to have a sales cycle run on them so had to be completed in the stipulated time. The project was finished well before time with excellent quality.
