Insuring the Children of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, Cincinnati, Ohio 1999-2003
An insurance industry partnership that provides financial and political support to social service agencies that work with parents and children to stop child abuse, run prevention programs, as well as those that deal with the emotional care and medical treatment of abused and neglected children. ITC also funds a Fellowship Program with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. The two-year Child Abuse Fellowship Program through the Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children is designed to prepare physicians for an academic and clinical career in child abuse and forensic pediatrics.
Board Member
The Board was responsible for fundraising within the professional insurance community and grant making to non-profits with missions to combat or treat the affects of child abuse.
Community Corrections Council of Morris County, Morristown, NJ 1984- 1999
CCC was a non-profit that provided services to adults, children and families involved in the family and criminal courts of Morris County. Services included juvenile mentors, chaplaincy and peer counseling in the Morris County Jail, as well as court order supervised visitation.
Juvenile Volunteer
Worked with clients involved with the family and criminal courts system of Morris County. They were victims of sexual, drug, physical and/or emotional abuse. The placement was court ordered. Clients were at home, in foster-care, treatment facilities and the Morris County Juvenile Detention facility. Including clients residing at Devereux, Chester NJ.
Art Therapy Instructor
Taught arts and craft projects to residents of the facility. They included such things as fabric box making, lanyards and decoupage.
