Senior Financial Management Analyst, March 2015-Present

Direct, manage, and coordinate the budget program for the 3rd Brigade Combat Team (BCT) consisting of seven battalions and ensure that the budget is accurate and in accordance with fiscal laws.

Provide support to over 4,200 personnel members by controlling unit funds consisting of a $13.4 million budget.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures and policy letters to provide clear guidance on the budget program.

Implement and interpret financial management regulations and policies to improve the budget program.

Serve as the Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) responsible for the administration of Defense Travel System (DTS) for the brigade.

Provide training to subordinate ODTA’s which resulted in a 15% decline in delinquent travel claims within the organization.

Supervise and mentor 36 employees on military duties as well as train and develop 12 Financial Management Specialists at the Brigade and Battalion levels.
