WORK EXPERIENCE

Graduate Research Associate Jan ’16-Present

The Ohio State University-Sheet Metal Forming Columbus, OH

Study formability of sheet metals (Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS) and Aluminum) through finite element analysis and simulations of metal stamping processes.

Predict, analyze and reduce springback in sheet metal forming processes such as hat-shaped bending, U-bending, flanging and stamping through experiments and finite element analysis and study the effect of material properties and process parameters on springback.

Design of CAD model of tooling for experimental study of wipe bending process for AHSS and copper.

Develop a method for accurate prediction of springback using FEA and experiments. Design Engineer July ’14-April ’15

Saint Gobain India Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai, India

Extensively trained on the job in process optimization, glass manufacturing and processing, quality control and storage.

Led a project for quality improvement and process optimization of the grinding machine using various problem solving techniques (root cause analysis) and statistical process controls.

Provided support to the customers and the Sales and Marketing team of Saint Gobain through technical reports and presentations.
