Responsible for writing and executing ITIL changes in one of the worlds largest web payment systems. Tasked with server builds and software deployment via CFEngine and Jenkins Fast Arm automation. Dispatch Printing Co., Unix, Linux Systems Admin ( 9/2014 – 7/2016 ) Linux/Unix System Automation, Standardization, & Software Compliance. Established a standardized log collection system ( Windows and Unix ), added Compliance Monitoring, established a centralized CMDB, and developed software to migrate old documentation to a common system ( OneNote ). Featured Projects:

DNS: Redesigned and upgraded the Internet facing and internal DNS systems, integrating AD, BIND, F5 GTM, & Route 53 into a simply managed and cohesive whole. Linux Home Directories: Extended the existing system of Linux home directories ( SMB mounted from the local domain controller ) to use the Global Catalog server. This enabled users traveling from the SA and EMEA regions to access their home directories when visiting headquarters or plants in North America. Huntington Bancshares Inc., Unix System Administrator Sr. (5/2007 contractor; 8/2007 1/2014 ) Primarily responsible for the enterprise Solaris domains which serve mission critical software including Image Acquisition and Archive, ESS and Doc Prep, intra net web servers, and customer facing banking applications. Responsible for day to day administration of SuSE & RedHat Linux on x86, ESX, and s390 hardware. Tasked with advanced AIX administration including LPARs, VIOS and HACMP clusters. Featured Projects:

SAVL Roll out: Designed the architecture, wrote custom deployment software, an updating mechanism, and a monitoring system to deploy Symantec Anti virus for Linux to the Novell file servers in remote banking offices (70+ locations ).

Vulnerability Remediation: Worked closely with management, Unix admins, software vendors, and the information security team to identify, document, and remediate tens of thousands of security vulnerabilities on thousands of servers. I also developed custom software to track and report on Unix system patches, vendor security alerts, and penetration test results.

SLES9 – 10.3 Upgrade: Planned and implemented the conversion of legacy SLES9 instances to SLES10 in order to maintain vendor support (250+ servers) with minimal downtime, including all change related documentation. Solaris Patching Automation: Wrote & deployed a custom solution to automate Solaris OS patching. BVS Automation; Phase 1: Wrote a middleware API to interface the legacy ticketing system to the CMDB. The first application of this was to automate SOx user password compliance. BVS Automation; Phase 2: Used the API to automate the synchronization between user termination tickets cut from the HR database with standard Unix authentication databases (passwd/shadow/LDAP) across Unix platforms. Featured Projects:

Sun One to Microsoft Exchange Email Migration: Planned, Designed and rolled out Microsoft Exchange 2003. Wrote the custom middle ware to migrate users, their mailboxes and contacts to Active Directory/ Exchange. Wrote the business plan and the software tools to do an “In Place” or rolling migration in which the users experienced no interruption of service.

IBM Tape Library Driver: Wrote a CLI interface for use between standard AIX backup software and an IBM Magnum 20 robotic tape library. Ask me about the slickest thing I've ever written! Aide Pilot Project: Integrated existing open source intrusion detection software with custom software into an intra net website showing enterprise wide security status at a glance. Standard Linux Recovery Method ( SLuRM Project ): Developed a Single DVD system for bare metal restores of x86

& SPARC computers – a more versatile open source version of Ghost without the high licensing cost. Education
