• Advised employees on travel and allowance entitlements, such as Education Travel, Rest & Recuperation (R&R), and Separate Maintenance Allowance (SMA).

• Assisted the administration of the Mission incentive awards program, including Cash Awards, Meritorious Step Increases, Safe Driving Awards, and Length of Service Certificates; drafted memoranda to all employees providing awards information and deadlines for submission; collected award nominations; reviewed nominations with the S/EXO; and, provided nominations to the Interagency Awards Committee.

• Ensured the responsible HR Unit staff member informed the nominee; processed cash payments, Meritorious Step Increases, or other awards; submitted awards to the appropriate payroll office, and ensured the preparation of contract modifications.

• Assured that nominations submitted to USAID/Washington were provided in the correct format and submitted to the proper Washington contact.

• Ensured the annual performance evaluation of all Foreign Service National Personal Services Contractors (FSNPSC) were accomplished in a timely basis; supervised the maintenance of current files on when evaluations and annual step increases were due; assured HR staff followed through with employees and supervisors to ensure that evaluations were submitted on or before due dates, and that narratives were consistent with the official duties and responsibilities of the respective position.
