WORKING EXPERIANCE:
Joined as Sales Officer with Sudershan Chemicals, Kolkata and was responsible for Sales of Pigments in Paint/Ink, Plastic, and Paper and Rubber industry in East and was later promoted as Branch Sales Manager East and continued working from 1979 till 1993.
Joined EMPIRE CHEMICALS as Regional Manager-on Aug-93 and continued to develop Regional import business for Titanium Di-Oxide and Other Paints Raw Materials of foreign principals like, Kerr McGee Pigments Australia, Borel Nobel (Later became AKZO NOBEL) for their surface chemistry division etc with all Paint, Plastic Master Batchers and Ink manufacturers in East and developed the Business for East from 0 – 4 corers per annum, within 3 years.
Joined AKZO NOBEL in the year 2000 as Marketing Consultant East, for Protective Coating division and was singularly responsible for entire East Region business including Tech.Services to clients. Starting from 2KL, then onwards, till 2009, I was the only person in EAST and was able to generate business volume of 80/100kl per annum. Thereafter, management considered to increase heads in East which is now a 350KL branch with 5 heads including Tech Service Executives.
Since (Sept-2014) I have retired from AKZO NOBEL. Currently I am working as Marketing Consultant for Channel Partners of ASIAN PAINTS PPG, in East.
Future Endeavour:
Being a pioneer in Sales & Marketing in Protective Coatings and Chemical segment for more than 2 decades.
