Employment Objective/Cover Letter:
Seeking employment where I may contribute my skills and experience for the last 25+ years in an industrial and/or construction environment. I have managerial experience for purchasing, excellent communication skills, ability to solve problems, coordinate warehouse operations along with shipping and receiving of all products in a safe and effective manner.

Fork Lift experience and “Train the Trainer” license/certificate

Ability to interact with people/organizations outside of your company. Including but not limited to suppliers, freight companies, and auditors.
Experience with freight companies for shipping such as YRC, XPO Logistics, ABF and many other leading carriers.
Knowledge of procurement practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in High School and some college with a high level in reading and math.

Over 20 years’ experience in shipping/receiving and/or inventory control.
Procurement experience and MS Excel skills.
Functions and responsibilities:
Ability to perform a job successfully, and each essential duty satisfactorily. These are the skills, functions and responsibilities I have performed in my past job history.
Works closely with Production, Planning and Purchasing on a daily basis.
Pull material required to meet production requirements.
Transact material in the inventory management system, maintaining accurate inventory records.
Perform inventory control including, but not limited to bin set up, bin labeling, cycle counts, rotating stock and general maintenance of the point-of-use stockroom.
Serve as a backup and assists with overflow in the receiving, shipping, and procurement function.
Order production supplies from suppliers to support production requirements.
Purchasing and record tracking of company owned power tools and heavy duty equipment.
Other duties as required or assigned.
Regarding the closing out of all Sierra Detention Systems Projects, here are some of the job duties I preformed while employed by them:
Finding vendors that distribute products necessary to complete all projects, including SEC and DEC materials.
Purchasing materials for projects and establishing a correct “ship to address” for all PO’s
Shipping all finished projects to job sites for installation by field crews.
Receiving of all goods inbound to the Sierra warehouse, documenting and updating respective receipts to correct BOM’s.
Distributing goods received by our warehouse to correct projects at the request of other associates.
Maintaining safe work environment for the warehouse and upkeep of our forklift.
Training new employees safe forklift conduct and training as well as “Train the Trainer” certification.
Requesting ETA’s and finding tracking information for all goods that were ordered.
Maintaining records of all PO’s issued by myself and others for all projects and various internal purchases.
Managing all RMA’s that apply to ongoing projects.
Receiving phone calls from the field crews, project superintendents who were in need of additional products shipped to jobsites to assist completing projects while they are on site.
Directing all emails, phone calls and voice messages to our accounting department regarding all invoice questions.
