SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

Clinical and labs: Perform and provide Injections, Z-track, vital signs, urinalysis (pregnancy test), rapid strep (mono) testing, respiratory tract specimens, wound culture, capillary puncture, hematocrit glucometer, hemocult sensa test, and visual acuity testing, ear irrigation. Can perform EKG testing and mounting, pelvic / paptray setup, sterile techniques and set-up. Sterile scrub /glove and autoclave tech…. CPR and first aid including bandaging and wound care. Patient education and charting. Snellen eye exam, eye irrigation and lavage. Dosage calculation and basic pharmacology. Assist with in house procedures and such as biopsies. Perform phlebotomy procedures and correct order of collection tubes.

Administration: Very familiar with EMR, MS word and Excel, Medisoft, CPT and ICD-9 coding, insurance and billing, charting, and filing of patient charts. Telephone triage and scheduling, Ordering of all medical supplies and medications. Mederx education with in house suspension.
